Off topic

Ok, so I know that this is really off topic but I really have to talk about this and this is as good a place as any. Ok, so next year, with me being in year 11, we can go for house captains. I avoid public confrontation, hide in the shadows and in no way like public speaking or being the centre of attention so why did I put my name down to be house captain??

I think that my p.e. teacher should have taken up debating because he is very good at persuading me to do things. So, after I said that I would try, I found out that two of the most popular and sporty girls in my year were also trying out for captain. Not that I'm not sporty, because I am a bit, but I feel that I'm going to be publically humiliated in front of my house and then be too embarrassed to compete in any of the school sports. I don't know? Maybe I'm just being pessimistic but I don't like being the centre of attention let alone have any attention at all. The thing about it that most freaks me out is that I have to do a  speech about why I should be house captain in front of my house and I am absolutely terrified of public speaking.

Do you have a fear of public speaking or anything else? Please share…

What so you think?

Ok, so I didn't have much feedback on my last blog but I didn't really expect it being a first time blogger and all but I really want to know what you guys are up to, talking about, and want to discuss on a fabulous blogging server like this (many thanks to whoever made blogger.com). So come at me with your ideas and I will try to fit every one of them in with my opinions and maybe something historical too( don't bet on it though, I have exams this week). Obviously I won't be able to address all topics if there are too many bit I don't think that that will be a problem. Talk to you next time, hopefully I might have more to post. I've actually been thinking about posting some of my short stories on here since there isn't really anywhere else (plus I'm a bit nervous for people to be reading them since I only have one friend who I currently let read them).

R&R!

My First Post!!

Ok, so I just started a blog and really know nothing about blogging so if anyone actually reads this (I love you), and has any questions, answers (not sure how they'll go (: ) just please reply.

Ok. So my topic is Jane Austen vs Elizabeth Gaskell. Now I don't really know much about Elizabeth Gaskell but I do know a bit about Jane Austen and her books (I'm obsessed). I absolutely love Elizabeth Gaskell's North and South and it comes in at a very close second to Pride and Prejudice but really, who can beat a soaked Colin Firth walking onto your tv. *sigh* Anyway, I know this is a very short blog for my first but I would like to know your thoughts. Are you as Darcy (Colin Firth) crazy or Mr Thornton (Richard Armitage) crazy?

Read, reply, thanks :)
